Partington Point to McWay Falls - Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park
A 1,680-acre underwater reserve with a great variety of marine life. Special-use permits are required for scuba diving. Environmental, hike-in camp site are available next to the 80-ft. waterfall. The coves are protected from rough surf by granite rock out crops and water bound points. Water in the coves rolls like a big bath tub.Recommended access is by the Partington Cove 36 miles south of Carmel - Rio Road 55 miles north of San Simeon
Diving Permits can be obtained at Big Sur Station.
Buddy system only - min 2 diver max of ten. Bring dive card. Fill out a simple form. Camp site can be arranged for at Pfeiffer Burns at the Camp Host located east of the highway, south side of the canyon in a parking lot. Call 831.667.2315 (Big Sur Station) for more information.
