Rescued Birds at Native Animal Rescue in Santa Cruz. Some birds are tended at the time of their rescue. After they heal, they are returned to the wild. Others that need more extensive treatment are sent to International Bird Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. Many, sadly, have to be euthanized because the damage from the fishing hooks is too bad.
