California Central Coast Small Historical Towns

Many years ago a few dairy farming families produced some of the finest creamery products imaginable. But their market was not so big. The families began feuding, and feuded until they could feud no more. Then good sense took hold, and they made a pact. From that point on, they decided, they would live in harmony.

And that was the name they gave to their new cooperative creamery.

Nowadays an ecletic group of extremely talented artisans inhabit this quaint little burg. Glass blowers, potter, eateries, art craft shops, wine and cheese tasting, botanicals, quilts, and a plant nursery.

On the hill, overlooking the hamlet, is a fine winery with a pleasing tasting room.
