PelicanNetwork is an association for empowering the ethics and principles of community service, conservation and artistic expression. Members can support products, goods and servies that other people with principled beliefs have produced, or approve.

Our fundamental purpose is to support and advance conservation consciousness.

A significant portion of the proceeds from purchases through PelicanNetwork online will be directed to the non-profits to which our members belong.

We will match our market with our product. For community based non profits, this means helping them sell their product, such as promoting their mission. It means getting similar minded people who don’t generally know about that group to become acquainted with their mission. They become an expansion of their market.

These groups need to get their message out to people who will be receptive to it. It is expensive to advertise, or do direct mail marketing campaigns. So, PelicanNetwork will use the Internet to attract people who are likely to understand the value of the message of these groups.

We will do that by presenting content in a form that attracts people who care about environmental protection and artistic expression.

If you belong to a community based nonprofit, or you produce a product that would appeal to this special market, or, you are an interested individual, and want to know more about us, please fill and submit this form:

More about our philosophy and purpose

What does the Pelican in our name stand for?

Was John Steinbeck an Artist or an Environmentalist? As a story teller he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. Writing was his craft. But, in his heart he was biologist, and he wrote as an epic ecologist who inspired generations of marine scientists who have led environmental causes.

Today the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute vessel is named for the boat he and Ed Ricketts used for their Sea of Cortez marine collecting expedition.

Was Ansel Adams an Environmentalist or an Artist? How about Rachel Carson?
